Day 2: Bogotá city tour: Visit the Monserrate lookout by cable car (3,200 meters/10.500 feet above sea level), then explore the old town (La Candelaria): the Gold Museum, Botero Museum, the main square, the cathedral, and the presidential palace. Lunch: ajiaco soup, followed by tasting exotic fruits and local specialties.
Day 3: In the morning, we take a one-hour flight to Medellín, Colombia's second-largest city. After settling in at the hotel, we head out for some sightseeing: visiting Pablo Escobar's hideout and the place of his death in the La América neighborhood. We continue to the San Javier district to experience the MetroCable ride over the outskirts of the city, followed by a visit to Comuna 13, once the world's most dangerous neighborhood and now a safe tourist attraction. Day 4: We continue exploring Medellín, a metropolis of 4 million people, by delving into the city’s transformation through visits to locations tied to its dark past: we visit Barrio Pablo Escobar, a neighborhood named after the drug lord, where he built 500 houses for the poor. Next, we travel to the mountains of Envigado, reaching 2,300 meters/7.500 feet above sea level, to see La Catedral, the luxury prison Escobar built for himself. Afterward, we head to Itagüíto visit Pablo’s grave, along with the resting place of his mentor, Griselda Blanco. In the historic downtown, we experience the bustling atmosphere typical of Latin America and explore Botero's art through his monumental bronze statues.

Day 5: Western Antioquia SUV tour (in a comfortable SUV): We start with a visit to the Puente del Occidente suspension bridge, followed by exploring the colonial old town of Santa Fé de Antioquia(we’ll take a tuk-tuk/mototaxi from the bridge to the town and back to the car). In the afternoon, we head to the village of Olaya to visit the main square and colonial-style church, then stay overnight at the River House, a vacation home with a pool and beautiful views of the Cauca River. Day 6: Off to the coffee farms! After a 3-hour drive through stunning landscapes, we will arrive in the village of Jardín, in the heart of the Antioquia coffee region. Our hotel is located in nature among coffee fields and bamboo forests, just 5 minutes from the village’s main square. In the afternoon, we will visit a family-owned coffee plantation, where Don Diego tells us about the coffee-making process and try some exotic local fruits, too. Later in the afternoon, we will go birdwatching (Cock-of-the-rock). In the evening, we will have dinner in the main square, enjoy some rum, and see how the locals live and have fun. Day 7: JEEP tour up into the mountains to an altitude of 2,500 meters above sea level (from 1,700 meters) to the orchid nature reserve. We will admire the flowers, feed hummingbirds, and take a walk to the waterfalls. In the afternoon, we will go fishing at the trout lakes or riding horses to the waterfalls.

Day 8: After breakfast, we will travel from Medellín to Guatapé, which takes about 5-6 hours. Guatapé, located at an altitude of 1,900 meters, is one of Colombia's most popular tourist attractions! Our accommodation will be by the lake, where we will take a short walk upon arrival.

Day 9: Our first activity is El Peñón de Guatapé, a 200-meter-high rock formation that can be climbed via 700 steps for a stunning panoramic view. After that, we will visit the charming village of Guatapé, decorated with colorful baseboards, and then take a one-hour boat tour of the lake system, where we will visit Pablo Escobar’s former hacienda, the Finca La Manuela. Afterward, we will descend to San Rafael, 900 meters below, through incredible valleys. In the afternoon, we will go on a short hike to La Honda waterfall and swim in the river. Day 10: Cocoa tour: prepare your chocolate. We will visit the Rendón family farm, where we will encounter incredible biodiversity: cocoa and coffee plantations, we have a walk in the jungle. In addition to cocoa, we will learn about many other fruits, and the farm is home to 197 registered bird species as well as countless butterflies.

Day 11: In the morning, we travel to Rionegro International Airport (about a 2.5-hour drive) and fly to Cartagenain search of some Caribbean adventures. Day 12: Cartagena sightseeing: we’ll visit the Convento de la Popa monastery on the city's highest hill, offering a perfect view of Cartagena and the sea. We'll explore the impressive 16th-century Spanish fortress, Castillo San Felipe de Barajas. In the walled city, we'll visit Cartagena's incredible museums and churches, including the Maritime Museum, the Palace of the Inquisition, and the Cathedral of Santa Catalina.
Day 13: In the morning, we take a boat tour to Islabela Island—a Caribbean paradise with cocktails and snorkeling. We return to Cartagena around 4 p.m. In the evening, we enjoy dinner in the bohemian Getsemaní neighborhood, followed by salsa dancing.
Day 14: Free time/beach day, then we head to the international airport of Cartagena to catch a flight home.
