Paddle through Leticia’s vibrant waterways, stroll the bustling streets of Tabatinga, and cross into Peru’s lush Marasha Reserve. Trek through pristine jungle trails, fish for piranhas in the mighty Amazon River, and spot exotic wildlife like pink dolphins, sloths, and vibrant macaws.

Colombia's second-biggest metropolis, the City of Eternal Spring, is full of history and culture: learn about Medellín's transformation, the dark past, the vibrant neighbourhoods full of music, the Botero statues, the famous nightlife, the great gastronomy of the city, and meet the super-friendly locals.

Jardín is known for its brightly painted houses, colorful floral displays, and milk candies, the altitude is 1750 meters above sea level. We visit a traditional family coffee farm where you learn about coffee from the master himself and see the whole process from planting to drinking the delicious end product.

Visit El Peñón de Guatapé, a 200-meter-high rock formation that can be climbed via 700 steps for a stunning panoramic view. In San Rafael, prepare your chocolate at the Rendón family cocoa farm. Swim in refreshing rivers and waterfalls, and have a nice walk in the cloud forest.

Taganga, the Tayrona National Park: enjoy the best beaches of the country and finish the trip with style in Cartagena. The jewel of the Caribbean, Colombia's top tourist destination, and the most outstanding Spanish colonial port city in the world, founded by the conquistadors in 1533, and became the continent’s most important port. 

Classic 2-Week GUIDED Colombia Tour: Bogotá, the amazon basin, Medellín & surroundings, the tayrona national park & Cartagena

Day 1: Arrival in Bogotá: We meet at El Dorado Airport, then transfer to the hotel, take a short walk, have dinner, and rest—accommodation in the historic downtown.


Day 2:  Bogotá Sightseeing: Visit the Monserrate lookout by funicular (3,200 meters above sea level), then explore the old town (La Candelaria): Gold Museum, Botero Museum, main square, cathedral, and presidential palace. Lunch: ajiaco soup, followed by tasting exotic fruits and local specialties.


Day 3:  Morning flight (1.5 hours) to Leticia, the capital of Amazonas department, at the Colombia-Peru-Brazil tri-border. Lunch on the Amazon River at a floating restaurant. Boat transfer to the Marasha Nature Reserve (in Peru, about 20 km). Short jungle hike, searching for monkeys, canoeing, birdwatching, and accommodation on the shores of Marasha Lake in the rainforest.

Day 5:  After breakfast, return to Leticia. Short city tour: visit the market and the ethnographic museum. Traditional lunch in Brazil: take a tuk-tuk to Tabatinga, a city seamlessly connected to Leticia. Then head to the airport, fly to Medellín via Bogotá. Evening drinks in the Laureles neighborhood.


Day 6:  Medellín Sightseeing: Visit Pablo Escobar’s hideout and the site of his death in the La América neighborhood, explore a local market. Ride the MetroCable (“ski lift”) over the suburbs, then visit Comuna 13, once the world’s most dangerous neighborhood, now a tourist attraction. Experience a typical Latin American bustle in the old downtown and discover Botero’s art through his massive bronze sculptures. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2srQZClMCrM


Day 7:  Head to the coffee farms! After a 3-hour drive through stunning landscapes, arrive in Jardín, the heart of Antioquia’s coffee region. Our hotel is nestled among coffee fields and bamboo forests, 5 minutes from the village center. In the afternoon, visit a family-run coffee farm to learn the ins and outs of coffee production and taste exotic local fruits. Later, go birdwatching (Andean Cock-of-the-Rock). Day 8: Jeep tour into the mountains to 2,500 meters above sea level (from 1,700 m) to an orchid and hummingbird nature reserve. Admire flowers, feed hummingbirds, and hike through the cloud forest to a waterfall. Lunch in the village, then an afternoon walk to La Escalera waterfall, followed by coffee at the Café Jardín lookout.

Day 9:  After breakfast, head to Guatapé in eastern Antioquia (about a 5-hour drive). At 1,900 meters, Guatapé is one of Colombia’s top tourist attractions! Our accommodation is on the lake system’s shore with a pool and jacuzzi.  

Afternoon program: climb El Peñón de Guatapé, a 200-meter rock formation with 700 steps for a breathtaking panorama.


Day 10:  After breakfast, visit the colorful, fresco-adorned village of Guatapé, then take a 1-hour motorboat tour on the lake system, visiting Pablo Escobar’s former hacienda, Finca La Manuela. Descend 900 meters to San Rafael through stunning valley panoramas. Afternoon hike to La Honda waterfall, followed by a swim in the river. Evening dinner in the village.

Day 11:  Cocoa tour: make your own chocolate! Visit the Rendón family farm, experiencing incredible biodiversity: cocoa and coffee plantations, a rainforest walk. Afternoon transfer to the airport, then fly to the Caribbean region! Arrive in Santa Marta, but head straight to Taganga village.


Day 12:  Taganga & Tayrona National Park: Taganga, a picturesque fishing village in Magdalena, on the Caribbean coast near Santa Marta, is famous for its crystal-clear waters, ideal for diving and snorkeling. Its tranquil, authentic vibe, local seafood, and nearby beaches attract tourists. The village boasts rich cultural traditions and a friendly community. Morning private bus to Tayrona National Park, where a 2-hour hike leads to the stunning Cabo San Juan beach. Tayrona captivates with its biodiversity, tropical rainforests, pristine beaches, and ancient archaeological sites. It’s a sacred site for the Tayrona indigenous culture, rich in historical and spiritual heritage. Return to Taganga by motorboat in the afternoon.  


Day 13:  Morning beach time at Playa Grande in Taganga, then minibus to Cartagena (4-hour drive via Barranquilla).


Day 14:  Cartagena, the jewel of the Caribbean, is Colombia’s top tourist destination and the continent’s most significant Spanish colonial port city, founded in 1533 by conquerors and a key port. Sightseeing: visit the Convento de la Popa monastery on the city’s highest hill for perfect views of Cartagena and the sea. Explore the impressive 16th-century Spanish fortress, Castillo San Felipe de Barajas. Day 15:  Cartagena: Free time/beach day, then head to the airport and fly home.
